Award winning Singer Songwriter/Recording Artist, Karen E. Reynolds, has been appearing at premier venues, performance series' and high profile festivals for over 30 years, all while sharing the stage with some of the best the industry has to offer and in front of tens of thousands. With a style that is described as, "Americana Heart & Southern Soul", and often compared by the media to the likes of Mary Chapin-Carpenter, James Taylor, Carole King and Linda Ronstadt, Karen has been coined as, "a consummate performer who can command any audience", and with varying descriptions, calling her “hearty voiced” one moment and claiming her to have the “voice of an angel” the next. An accomplished songwriter, Karen was honored as the 2019 Inductee into the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame in recognition of her Songwriting, alongside such fellow inductees as Dolly Parton and Kim Williams (Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Reba McEntire, Brooks& Dunn). Signing her first publishing agreement in 2007, she has chalked up a respectable list of cuts and regularly writes with nationally recognized artists and songwriters. Her songs and recordings receive airplay on stations around the world, and she currently enjoys a variety of publishing arrangements. A respected music industry consultant and former faculty member of 'Music Business Mentoring Professionals' and the Tennessee Mountain Writers Conference, Karen has taught songwriting and music business for the University Of Tennessee and the Kent State University Music Workshop program; served as a Board Member for Pro Music U; mentored for the Country Music Hall of Fame's' Words and Music in Schools' program, and has national credits to her name as a producer, publicist, and promoter. Her radio program, "Writer's Block", was broadcast worldwide on public and commercial radio for over 20 years and she served as Director of Education on the Board of Directors for We R Indie. She is a frequent speaker at music industry, literary and corporate events and regularly teaches workshops for a variety of conferences, festivals and associations. An experienced educator, she created the curriculum and is the Director for, the 'Frank Brown International Songwriters Festival' Educational Outreach Program', has taught for the Mississippi Songwriters Alliance In-Schools Program for over a decade; taught as an adjunct instructor for the Face The Music Foundation, and serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of Literacy, a 501(c)(3) utilizing literacy skills to make a difference in the lives of children and adults. Along with her musical and educational influence, Karen is an ordained minister and content creator for an online ministerial ceremony library used by over700,000 ministers. Karen's latest release, 'Paper Castles', was met with critical acclaim.
