Hope Cassity has a story to tell and a heart to tell it.  A singer and songwriter from Nashville, touring in far flung places like Alaska. She makes her mark in the hearts of the towns she visits. She boarded a plane back to Nashville this summer tour being named an honorary Alaskan by thousands of new fans.

In 2018, Hope was diagnosed with a rare form of Ovarian cancer, just days after signing a major radio deal that would have been a turning point in her career.  They told her she had six months to live, but she didn’t live as if that were the case.  Now, four years later, she’s still on the road to recovery, and on the road, touring and rebuilding that momentum.

Her song, “The Idea Of You”, was included in the soundtrack for Diggstown, a show on Fox, whose soundtrack including Hope’s song was nominated for an Emmy in 2021. She’s recently opened in front of thousands for Tyler Farr, Darius Rucker, Lee Brice and Jerrod Niemann.  Clearly, Hope Cassity is on a path to a come back, as she also sold out two masterclasses in songwriting for Marriott International Hotel Brands during the battle as well.

Fans rave about her powerful voice, but her ability to connect so honestly with her fans and audience is what sets her apart from the pack. According to Casey Bieber with I-heart Kash Country Radio in Anchorage, she stopped him in his tracks. Hope currently is his new favorite country act to follow. He spoke highly of her in their interview on air and he says it’s because of her high energy and intimate connection with the audience in the opening show for Darius Rucker that he was moved to pay closer attention. He then stopped what he was doing and came to the front row to watch her show. She subsequently spent the summer visiting Kash country radio and talking with radio across the state about her tour. As a bonus, her song Sting released 4 years ago originally, is now getting a second chance at radio. This comes as a sweet summer surprise after losing momentum the first release when she was forced to stop touring to face cancer treatment and surgery recovery.

Hope Cassity is an act to hear not only for her honesty in crafting a song that hits home, but also for the guts to survive anything and keep going despite all odds.

Maybe you listen simply for the fact that she is living out one song at a time the truest meaning of her name HOPE but whatever the case ...listen. You too will be be surprised at what healing can happen through songs written from the heart.
