Clay Mills, a 16-time ASCAP hit songwriter, two-time Grammy nominee, and 2022 inductee into the Mississippi Songwriters Hall of Fame.
He grew up surrounded by music in the Blues-rich Mississippi Delta and since moving to Nashville, Clay has had over 200 majorartist cuts, including: five Number 1 hits in multiple genres, six Top 5 singles, and 12 Top 40 singles.
Over the course of his songwriting career, Clay has penned #1 hits for DariusRucker (“Don’t Think I Don’t Think About It”), Diamond Rio (“Beautiful Mess”), and Kimberley Locke (“Fall”). More hit singles soon followed by Darius Rucker with “History in the Making” and “I Got Nothin’ .”
Mills believes strongly in songwriters and their value to the world. He’s lobbied congress on behalf of songwriter’s rights to fair compensation. And along with Marty Dodson, co -founded
